Renegade Necrophile Princess (. Damnit, it just won't clear! I've been making some fruit wines over the summer, and while some of them cleared particularly well. others have decided not to. I've used Gelatine, betonite, some of the chemical clearing agents that I get at my local wine-making store, even pushed them through more than one set of filters each, but to no avail. Thusly, I am wondering if any of you guys out there have any tips or crafty ideas for pulling the cloudiness out of wines?

The Kwisatz Haderach, Give A Dog A Bone (. The Kwisatz Haderach, Give A Dog A Bone. And, a matter of ants. Hi there. I've taken up brewing as a hobby, and have been really thrilled by the process. I've started on my first batch of mead, and pitched the yeast yesterday. Then, when I was going to bed last night, I checked on the fermenting bucket and saw that there were ants all over it! No doubt it's attracted to the honey (I did spill some on the outside of the bucket). Still, this brings up a problem.

Potter of Faerie (. Super Quick and Delicious! A cheap and easy home brew with delicious results. 2 quarts cooked rice. 2-3 pounds white sugar. Three days aerobic fermentation, then cap for the remainder of two weeks with air lock. Can be served right from the fermenter as the rice does a fine job of trapping the yeast.
