Sunday, October 30, 2005. Before an actual Halloween party with costumes. The French maid discovering the drunk Harvard student. The French maid, and the lady bug, ready to paint the town red. The party was lots of fun. But then I woke up the next morning to discover it was snowing. And today it is in the 60's. I don't get New England weather at all. Posted by Turtle Power at 12:25 PM. Sunday, December 18, 2005. The tale of the amazing traveling hat. About two months ago I bought a winter hat, which can be seen here. Well, to put it simply, I love this hat. After receiving this first check, I figured the perfect way to spend some of it was to get this hat I yearned for. Since buying the hat, I have received many compliments, it has kept my head warm, and it has overall treated me very well. The 101 bus to my street was not coming for another 40 minutes. I stood there in the cold, w...

Turtle Power: May 2006

Wednesday, May 31, 2006. I do not know what is happening to me recently. I was never one to cry during movies, and would roll my eyes at people who did. But lately I have become quite the sucker for cheesy montages. Gear one of those up, and I get teary eyed. Today was Katie Courac's last day at the "Today" show. I don't even like her! But this morning, with the Today show in the background they showed clips of Katie over the last 15 years, and I felt the lump in my throat rising. Montages are pure evil.

COVETING: On wanting modern design, harder abs, hip baby clothes, and cool toys — for me and baby. THE BEST IN MATERIAL (AND AESTHETIC) DESIRES. Another week, another weight/wait. Points and realized I was totally fine. Next week we'll be away for the holidays and I don't want to weigh myself on a different scale. In fact I'm only weighing myself at the E* quinox. Thanksgiving foods don't hold any interest for me but the airport bulk candy and dried fruit stands sure do. Notes From a Former New Yorker.

After I had experimented with the bread machine and found the results lacking, I had another crack on Saturday, shooting for a larger loaf and really working on getting the water temperature as right as possible. Result? I was so flushed with success, I went on to make a pie:. Strawberry, rhubarb, and gol-danged raspberry! I also made a loaf of zuccini bread (not pictured).
