July 28, 2010. I am a 41 year old mother of three living in a peaceful community full of amenities and a realistic promise of safety. Still, I worry about my children and fret for their future. My heart goes out to women in less stable societies with fleeting assurances of safety who, despite their greatest efforts, can’t keep their kids safe from random harm. Thanks to everyone who made our NoRooz event at the CAFAM a success this year. The event was hosted by the CAFAM in the courtyard. We had a children’s outreach, an art contest and two large canvases which we filled with colorful handprints and messages of NoRooz to be presented to children at Mahak Hospital in Iran, through ISCC. With her two books “GOAL! With two of her published compilations of internationally recognized poetry. Here are some pictures of the event which was held on March 19, 2011:.
