Thoughts and decisions as I create my work. Journey with me through the fascinating world of woodworking. Picture Frames and Artists Furnishings. As many furniture makers before me have done when the economy really began to tank in 2008 I decided to begin work making boxes. Boxes are a great way to maintain woodworking skills plus they allowed me to stay in the shop; a place I really like to be! Remote Control Box; Gilded Treble Clef. Treble Clef Box: African Okoume with Gilded, Copper LId. For a look at...

She saws seashells by the seashore – Little Room Works

https://southernnightswoodwork.wordpress.com/2015/02/27/she-saws-seashells-by-the-seashore

Fine Woodwork with Jonathan Price. February 27, 2015. August 28, 2016. She saws seashells by the seashore. I was poking around in my parents’ garage the other day and found something I’ve never seen before. This is especially strange since their garage is well organized and I’ve spent a ton of time there over the last 15 or years or so. Time to clean it up and really see what I have here. I let the saw sit overnight and then wiped it down again with WD-30 and 3-in-1 oil, which I use on all my tools.

After Project | orepass

https://orepass.wordpress.com/2015/07/24/after-project

July 24, 2015. The hospice cart project ended two months ago. Time has passed quickly with a heavy work load, summer vacations, gardens and other projects. I have been sharpening and cleaning tools which has become a post project ritual. Sharpening tools at the end of each day is a best practice, however there are many tools that are used infrequently during a project that become dull over an extended period of time. I like to make sure these have been cared for as well. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.
