writergal: What’s in Your Hand?

http://writergal-deanna.blogspot.com/2015/07/whats-in-your-hand-i-cant-seem-to-get.html

Sunday, July 26, 2015. What’s in Your Hand? What’s in Your Hand? I can’t seem to get the phrase “What’s in Your Hand” out of my head. It seems that that is the phrase that God has me contemplating lately. Honestly, up to this point, I had spent most of my time contemplating what is “not” in my hand. I need a new car because mine won’t’ pass inspection without work that far exceeds the value of the car. I am a writer that writes far too little and hasn’t submitted much for publication lately. Do I go to a...

writergal: Forgiveness and Compassion

http://writergal-deanna.blogspot.com/2012/11/forgiveness-and-compassion.html

Friday, November 2, 2012. Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” And they divided up his clothes by casting lots. Luke 23:34 (NIV). Jesus knew that it was Satan in them that was responsible for their ill behavior. He offered them compassion and forgiveness instead of judgment—even in his time of distress. Choosing compassion over judgment is what he calls us to as well. August 31, 2013 at 9:19 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Pittsburgh, PA, United States.

Saturday, April 30, 2011. Do You Really Want the Sledgehammer? The LORD confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant known to them. Psalm 25:14. Let us be alert to hear the message when it is subtle and feels more full of grace like a feather. If not, we may find ourselves left bloodied and hurting from the wounds of a sledgehammer. writergal: Hands and Feet of Christ

http://writergal-deanna.blogspot.com/2011/12/hands-and-feet-of-christ.html

Friday, December 23, 2011. Hands and Feet of Christ. For just as the body is a unity and yet has many parts, and all the parts, though many, form (only) one body, so it is with Christ. 1 Corinthians 12:12 AMP. The pine scented church was abundantly decorated with green-lit trees. Nestled among a dozen trees in a front alcove was the manger scene- everyone present except Jesus. Exactly at midnight, the choir director’s wife would begin to sing “Oh, Holy Night”. As the song ambled tow...Like most Christmas...

Desperately Seeking.....: March 2011

http://denakmasterino.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html

A Life of Hope and Peace. Thursday, March 24, 2011. Then I read something about this new book - not even released yet - by Rob Bell, pastor of a Michigan megachurch, called Love Wins. Early reviews of the book have brought a firestorm of criticism about his views on universalism. From the reviews, it appears he questions the consequences of a life lived in denial of Jesus Christ. That not as many are going to hell as we think. Is it naive to feel that God is giving me a peace in NOT knowing the answer?

A Life of Hope and Peace. Monday, December 20, 2010. Monday, December 20, 2010. Friday, December 10, 2010. I know my God. She's right. The book of Esther has no mention of the name of God, yet His handprint is all over ever word of the book in lives of those people. God's all over this too and although I don't know specifics, I know God loves His creation and the dying it experiences was brought about by sin that His creation didn't choose, all the more reason to believe in its perfect restoration. He wa...

Desperately Seeking.....: The Real Church

http://denakmasterino.blogspot.com/2011/01/real-church.html

A Life of Hope and Peace. Monday, January 24, 2011. It seems that wherever I am, I keep hearing conversations, messages or dialogue that center around what the church was designed by God to be versus what it has been made into by man. Last week I listened to some teaching that the Greek word for church used in the New Testament was the word EKKLESIA. 8211; translated church, but more accurately translated congregation. But it appears that all along the church was supposed to be a who. Rather than a what.

Desperately Seeking.....: The Small Stuff

http://denakmasterino.blogspot.com/2011/02/small-stuff.html

A Life of Hope and Peace. Monday, February 7, 2011. Have you ever felt like you are having a terrible day when everything just refuses to go the way you planned? We all have those days when Murphy’s Law seems to trump everything. My sister, Emily called me last week to chat and her first words were, “I’m having the worst day ever.”. Her day had already been a string of unfortunate mishaps and inconveniences when she quickly stopped in the restroom. REALLY – HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN! But what was the use?

Desperately Seeking.....: May 2011

http://denakmasterino.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html

A Life of Hope and Peace. Thursday, May 5, 2011. I heard a great message delivered by David Platt to his congregation in Birmingham, Alabama. Their area has been ravaged by the tornadoes that we've seen on the news recently. What a difficult message that must have been to deliver or even to come up with since so many in their faith family were hurting and experiencing devastating loss. Thursday, May 05, 2011. Would God give a picture like that? Sounded - well, weird. For all of us? Thursday, May 05, 2011.

Saturday, August 8, 2015. Stream of Consciousness Writer's Warm-up. I find this kind of writing insightful and cathartic. I stayed up until 2 AM listening to Amy Winehouse and Joan Baez on Youtube. I love both of their styles but they are so different. I can sing like Joan Baez sort of but I'd really like to learn how to sing like Amy Winehouse. It is a strange twist of fate that Joan is older than me, yet still alive and Amy died in her early 30's. I'm trying to do 10 things at once. I have never fi...

Nandita's Blog | It's no more a secret

It's no more a secret. In Conversation with Self. Bogale approached his mother and said, I know that vase meant a lot to you. It was your mother’s last gift to you. I am sorry Mom you lost it because of me. Zeni quietly looked at him and said nothing. Mom, why aren’t you angry with me? Accuse me for what happened, please say something. Bogale said. Lemon heat = Curdled milk. Bogale was not sure what his mother was trying to do. He kept looking at her closely. By Nandita •. Posted in Fundas of my Life.

Sarah’s exploits and adventures from across the pond. Exams, Cookies, and Rivers. May 13, 2009 by writergal1421. Wednesday, May 13. Exam #1: European History. The exam went pretty well, I think, and by that I mean I didn’t stare blankly at the exam questions for the entire two hours that we were allotted. We get grades back at some point during the summer, so I’ll find out then. Exam #2: Irish History. And Eamon de Valera.
