Buffina: April 2009
http://buffina.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
This is a little bit of me. I'll try to find a little time to write some things. Have a peachy day! Wednesday, April 29, 2009. When I was home for Easter, I spent quite a bit of time with my beautiful nieces. One night while we were hanging out at Matt and Amy's, the girls had their first taste of suckers. In honor of the momentous occasion, Matt found the song. Online, which the girls absolutely loved, as evidenced by Chloe's rendition below:. I can watch a sunset. Monday, April 27, 2009. This is a little bit of me. I'll try to find a little time to write some things. Have a peachy day! Monday, June 28, 2010. Sit right back and you'll hear a tale. Me In the bathroom stall at work (okay, so don't. Picture this). Only one other person. Eerily quiet. Trying to keep any and all sounds to a minimum so as not to disturb whatever is going on over there. I accidentally pop a really. Loud bubble with my gum. What you've waited 6 months for, isn't it? 6:06 AM, June 29, 2010. LOL you made my day!

Pointed remarks on books, life and whatnot. June 18, 2010. August 26, 2010. When i was younger, so much younger. But that’s a minor point for her editor. The book itself was well done. It was a bit brutal sometimes, but realistic. The story of a literary uprising of black women against the white women who employ them, this book is told from the point of view of two hired women and one white aspiring writer who is unsure of her place in the world. Till it was a battlecry. June 26, 2010 at 11:13 am. Blog a...

Pointed remarks on books, life and whatnot. August 26, 2010. September 8, 2010. Mind was full of razors. My rating: 5 of 5 stars. Wow What to say about this that doesn’t ruin anything but still adequately expresses my admiration. This is a strong, believable, heart-wrenching conclusion to this trilogy. Collins does not pull any punches and she doesn’t leave herself room for another book to sneak in. But it is excellent. When you’re finished with this book you will want to reread it. Immediately...PS I wa...

Content – perspicacity
https://nakiru.wordpress.com/2012/01/01/content
Pointed remarks on books, life and whatnot. January 1, 2012. I have plans for 2012. Resolutions, if you will. I have the normal ones – get rid of this 25 pounds that has haunted me since grad school, be the best wife ever, become a more patient manager. I have the more complex ones – write the story that lives in my head, read more books, watch less trash tv (nobody needs to know who wins Survivor.). But I have one resolution that I want to be central – be content. I will look ahead at the future, and we...

Foreign Bodies – Hwee Hwee Tan – perspicacity
https://nakiru.wordpress.com/2012/01/02/foreign-bodies-hwee-hwee-tan-2
Pointed remarks on books, life and whatnot. January 2, 2012. Foreign Bodies – Hwee Hwee Tan. Sometimes a book grabs you at the right moment in your life, and it just doesn’t let you go. Hwee Hwee Tan’s book is ostensibly about three young adults living in China. Mei has just become a lawyer, and her childhood friend Eugene’s university buddy Andy gets arrested for gambling. Written from all three perspectives, alternated, Tan seeks to uncover what leads us to the choices we make:. If I were God, if I had...
