The Balser Bulletin: December 2012
http://balserbulletin.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Friday, December 21, 2012. Too bad that the only days school gets cancelled are when Holiday Parties are scheduled. I was actually slightly disappointed to not be able to play Christmas Tree Bingo with the kids). Here is the expanse of our backyard (this photo was taken standing as close to our back door as possible to make it look a little bigger). Note the grass underneath the snow which we are proud to say grew quite nicely for our first attempt at planting. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Thursday, March 15, 2012. Spring Break in the Ozarks. On somewhat of a whim, Mike and I decided that we would spend our spring break in Arkansas. Another state checked off the map! We found a great deal on a resort by Crown Lake. So here's the scoop . . . Kayaking on the lake. Visiting historic Hardy town. Authentic Arkansas food (a gas station turned restaurant). Gotta love eating biscuits and gravy in the south! This spring produces 10 million gallons of water per hour). Picnicking by Blanchard Spring.

http://balserbulletin.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, January 16, 2013. Mike and I had a wonderful Christmas break together, though we missed family tremendously. My post about the half-inch of snow we received the day before the break started was a little premature-we received 14 in. of snow over a two day time period just a few days after Christmas. It was a good time to stay inside with hot chocolate, movies, and projects. Christmas Eve we had a big dinner and invited friends from the ward over. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Tuesday, April 2, 2013. So the extent of our vacation over spring break involved going to Nashville, IN to enjoy a delicious breakfast and wandering around the small tourist shops. It was a beautiful day topped off with a picnic in Columbus and finding all three of the Kilkenny trilogy (Louis L'Amour) at a used bookstore on a lucky whim. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Going to the awesome park by our apartment. And Eating homemade icecream and waffle cones. Mike and I went hiking the next weekend taking an extra hour trying to find the unmarked trail.
