Andrea's summer in Ghana. The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes. Thursday, August 7, 2008. A letter to one of my entrepreneurs. Dear Bro’George,. I had such a fun day helping you with Excel! The day I can type as fast as you I will kill two fowls”. But the truth is, I have so much to learn from you. Your hardwork, entrepreneurship, charisma and vision are all such great characteristics that I would kill three. I will try to rest. Blogs of other JFs.

I got back to Accra almost two weeks ago after visiting three more entrepreneurs but I haven't had a chance to update my blog. Keep the questions and comments coming please. Wednesday, July 2, 2008. With her ha...

http://andreagoestoghana.blogspot.com/2008/08/my-short-visit-to-mbowura-started-with.html
Andrea's summer in Ghana. The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes. Thursday, August 7, 2008. Some buildings in the village. Chief Anthony planting tomatoes on the side of a yam mount. Kwame bikes from his house every day to farm cassava. He prefers living far from his field because there is electricity there and not in Mbowura. This lady didn’t seem to want to stop farming anytime soon. Madame Cynthia preparing a meal. Right, they are all doing chores.

Andrea's summer in Ghana: I'm coming, I'm going to urinate
http://andreagoestoghana.blogspot.com/2008/08/im-coming-im-going-to-urinate-in-ghana.html
Andrea's summer in Ghana. The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes. Thursday, August 7, 2008. I'm coming, I'm going to urinate. I think by now I’ve seen almost everything: toilets that need to be flushed with a bucket because there is no running water, smelly public urinals, holes on the ground, “free ranging” and my personal favourite, a hole with an army of cockroaches that make their appearance every evening! Andrea's summer in Ghana. The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes. Wednesday, January 27, 2010. My JF placement, revisited. I would like to think that I did. Here is why:. At the beginning of the summer, KITE’s knowledge of what the situation was at the RBCs was limited to the data that had been collected by the eCARE office, managed by a different project partner. After the placement, KITE had data from a combined total of 26 centres. Yes This new under...

Andrea's summer in Ghana: April 2008
http://andreagoestoghana.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html
Andrea's summer in Ghana. The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes. Saturday, April 26, 2008. A small act of kindness. Today I woke up to find that my passport was nowhere to be found. It was not on my desk or with the rest of my papers, or inside my bag, not even underneath my bed. How could I loose it if I double check everytime I carry it around? Times from now on. What a powerful example to follow. Monday, April 14, 2008. That was a long sentence!

Andrea's summer in Ghana. The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes. Friday, June 27, 2008. I've been moving so much for the last three weeks! Sunday, June 8, 2008. One of the houses in the compound. The road from Asigbekope to the closest town, Kasseh. Electricity is just being installed in Asigbekope. Joshua and his little brother at the family’s garden. Little Nancy showing me how to dance. Young girls selling things near the tro-tro station. But they a...

Andrea's summer in Ghana: beautiful Ghana
http://andreagoestoghana.blogspot.com/2008/08/beautiful-ghana.html
Andrea's summer in Ghana. The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes. Friday, August 15, 2008. As I prepare to leave Ghana in less than a week, I can't help thinking about all the beautiful people and places I was lucky to meet and see in my time here. I'm afraid there are many things that didn't get captured in my blog entries: the joy of waving at the little boys in the street as they yell "Obruni bye bye! And pintoresque places like this one in Elmina.
