Ohand when did the BLB's servers become so formal? Eg "and the [special] was quite to my liking," he said with hands clasped gently in that yin-yang shape.). Posted by a. at 2:56 PM. Psst, three times/three ways. Three things from Friday:. A constant pit of smouldering nervousness in my heart. This will not be elaborated on in print. In the end, things were okay (yet sadly not okay.). It was, to quote my sister, very original. Psst made it work in a number of ways. They were frames on many levels. An...

http://coloncancersucksass.blogspot.com/2006_06_01_archive.html
Colon Cancer Sucks Ass. Thursday, June 29, 2006. See, I Said I Would Be Back. I returned from my Midwestern adventures on Monday afternoon and have been in recovery mode ever since. I had a really great time. Both weddings were fabulous and I got to spend time with lots of old friends and family. I said I would come back with lots of stories and I did, but I'm still too tired to organize my thoughts! I also received the results of my hormone tests today. The levels seem to be pretty normal which mean...

Colon Cancer Sucks Ass. Thursday, September 29, 2005. My First Oncology Appointment. First off, I apologize to all of you who have been checking for updates. I'm going to make every effort to update on a regular basis. I can't start chemotherapy until I have finished healing from surgery. One of the drugs I will be taking can cause bleeding and slow wound healing. Until then, we're working on pushing through paperwork and getting everything in order. Posted by Christine @ 10:12 PM. Colon Cancer Sucks Ass: November 2005
http://coloncancersucksass.blogspot.com/2005_11_01_archive.html
Colon Cancer Sucks Ass. Monday, November 28, 2005. I Am Not an Early Riser. Posted by Christine @ 4:30 PM. When I’m really looking forward to something a movie, for example I think I lower my expectations to prevent disappointment. I’m willing to overlook a lot of flaws because I’m so excited to experience the final product. Due to my own stubbornness, I will enthusiastically embrace a mediocre movie solely because I want to like it. Despite my disapproval for the movie, it did rekindle the love I have f...

rescued from obscurity: February 2010
http://rescuedfromobscurity.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 19, 2010. Why I'm Doing This. When I told Sister M. who she was, she said, "You rescued her from obscurity.". I don't know why, but this has always stayed with me. When it was happening, when Sister M. uttered that phrase, I told myself: remember this moment. That's what I'm seeking- adventures like these where objects and photos from someone's ordinary yet extraordinary life can be rescued from obscurity. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). This isn't me, but isn't she lovely? Why Im Doing This.

rescued from obscurity: The Secret Children's Section of the SSP Library
http://rescuedfromobscurity.blogspot.com/2010/03/secret-childrens-section-of-ssp-library.html
Wednesday, March 17, 2010. The Secret Children's Section of the SSP Library. This past Monday, I took a short drive to the public library in South St. Paul. The only reason I went there was to pick up a book I wanted ( The Blue Jay's Dance. By Louise Erdrich). K took E and Z for a walk so I had the drive and the library to myself, which was fortuitous because this is what I found:. Old editions of children's books. A whole room full of adorable editions from the 30's and 40's. I wrote down some authors t...

rescued from obscurity: January 2011

Sunday, January 16, 2011. Find it in Columbus. I've always thought the motto for my hometown was funny: Find it in Columbus. I always asked myself. Chewing tobacco? Herbie Husker on the side of someone's garage? But lately (as in the last few years) I've been finding cool stuff there, mostly from a place called Colonial Antiques. And it has a satisfying, monumental click. When closed (what item made today can make that sound? I used it the other day, when I met a friend for coffee. It holds the impor...
