A Communicado document on an iPad can be copied to another iPad. This can be useful for instance if a therapist has multiple documents for multiple clients. By putting a document on the client's iPad the client can use it. Another handy application is starting with a document already produced by somebody else. Once you have the document on your own iPad you can begin editing and extending it. Method 1: directly from iPad to iPad. Tap the Share button in the edit bar. Method 2: via a computer with iTunes.

Version 1.6: disable edit bar and bug fixes. October 7, 2016. Version 1.6 is available in the App Store. Adds a new feature and includes fixes for a few serious bugs. New feature: in the Settings app, when selecting Communicado, you can now disable the edit bar. This is for situations where a user unintentionally shows the edit bar and edits or removes items. Fixed bug: app crashed after importing document. Fixed bugs: app crashed when trying to add images from the photo library, or trying to record sound.

Communicado - The first time

When started for the first time, Communicado comes without any content. Initial content will have to be created, tailored to a specific user. It should contain all the categories and items that this user wants to communicate with others. The new, tailored, content will have to be added by someone to a new document. Perhaps, if possible, by the same user. Or, more likely, by another person. Someone close to the actual user. Perhaps a relative, a friend, or a therapist.

To tailor the content of Communicado for a specific user, you can create categories, subcategories and items. All of them can have a name. For a category, a color can be defined. All its subcategories and items will automatically get the same color. Take the following steps:. Tap the Action button (bottom right of the screen). The action menu will appear.
