http://www.nickonit.com/2012/08/hp-stops-vcx-formerly-3com-nbx-voip-pbx.html
Calling IT and Telecoms professionals on VoIP, SIP, IT, and Web security. Thursday, August 2, 2012. HP stops VCX (formerly 3com NBX) VoIP PBX line. It’s been announced some time ago and widely expected, but recently HP finally pulled the plug on its VoIP PBX product, HP VCX. This product had received little investment over the last few years and had dwindling sales, so who cares? Hi Nick, itll be great if we can get a list of existing clients who are on VCX and work on getting them on to 3CX!

Calling IT and Telecoms professionals on VoIP, SIP, IT, and Web security. Sunday, August 28, 2011. Google buys Motorola and secures android market growth. UUh It seems Google finally realized Apples without good hardware you wont have success with SW. Regarding Motorola patents, least likely they have *needed* patents, otherwise Motorola would already charged Apple. Innovates Apple, Google are copycats and pussies. I think you will tell Heads down Google when it starts copy your business. Subscribe in a ...

Nick on IT: Microsoft Re energized with Satya Nadella
http://www.nickonit.com/2014/10/microsoft-re-energized-with-satya.html
Calling IT and Telecoms professionals on VoIP, SIP, IT, and Web security. Saturday, October 11, 2014. Microsoft Re energized with Satya Nadella. Gone are Steve Ballmers jumping jack, enthusiastic and charismatic speeches, and in return we have an exciting product strategy and a company doing, rather then talking. I know which i prefer, and so does the stock market. And to think Nick, Satya only took charge of the Microsoft reins in February of this year! Okay, he has spent over 20 years at the tech giant...

Nick on IT: Microsoft and Nokia to marry?
http://www.nickonit.com/2011/02/microsoft-and-nokia-to-marry.html
Calling IT and Telecoms professionals on VoIP, SIP, IT, and Web security. Thursday, February 10, 2011. Microsoft and Nokia to marry? Samsung does it with anybody and messes with just about any OS, including its own self made ‘Bada’ OS. Surely a strong and loyal partnership with Nokia might be worth it for Microsoft. Microsoft could buy Nokia, or it could simply ‘incentivize‘ them. Microsoft is still a huge cash machine, and sitting on a sickeningly large pile of cash. Steve Ballmer ha...I for one believe...

Nick on IT: HTC Wildfire S frees me of iTunes
http://www.nickonit.com/2011/09/htc-wildfire-s-frees-me-of-itunes.html
Calling IT and Telecoms professionals on VoIP, SIP, IT, and Web security. Friday, September 16, 2011. HTC Wildfire S frees me of iTunes. I recently bought an HTC Wildfire S and have been very impressed with the phone. The Android operating system is evolving rapidly, and in terms of usability its pretty close to an iPhone. But HTC Wildfire trumps the iPhone on several points:. It has a smaller form factor and is more durable. Its half the price. I'd say the the text input keyboard on the HTC is better.

Nick on IT: Micosoft – Server OS maker par excellence
http://www.nickonit.com/2011/10/micosoft-server-os-maker-par-excellence.html
Calling IT and Telecoms professionals on VoIP, SIP, IT, and Web security. Saturday, October 8, 2011. Micosoft – Server OS maker par excellence. Microsoft gets a lot of flak for its many lame products. It’s difficult to decide which is the lamest of all. The Me too Windows Phone, the pathetic Bing or the “so NOT “ Microsoft Live? Or maybe the Windows desktop OS? And Windows Server 8, already far ahead, lifts the bar even higher. Hyper-V is greatly improved. The internal switches between VMs can no...You c...

Nick on IT: Facebook is the next Google
http://www.nickonit.com/2012/05/facebook-is-next-google.html
Calling IT and Telecoms professionals on VoIP, SIP, IT, and Web security. Sunday, May 27, 2012. Facebook is the next Google. I have been quietly collecting Facebook shares in the past few days. At $31 – 32 they are reasonably priced. Never mind how the IPO went. Yes, at $38 the shares were a bit expensive, but then Facebook is no ordinary company. Then there is the hosting of games and pages. Companies attract visitors to their page and are increasingly hosting their content there. Gaming compani...Its m...
