Sunday, August 17, 2008. 1 Complete your hard run. 2 Purchase 2 10lb bags of ice from nearby grocery store or gas staion on drive home. (or pre-purchase if you're really on top of it). 3 Fill bath tub with cold water (as cold as your faucet gets - no cheating here! Up to hip level. 4 Dump in bags of ice. (If you're really in a pinch, grab ice from your ice maker in the freezer.). 5 Jump in the tub, stay in 10-15 minutes. The first minute is the hardest, I promise. Since then, the heat index in Minneapolis has skyrocketed to over 110 at least twice (postponing Torchlight until August 25th). Luckily, MRRR teammates have been running in other far-off places. Europe. One teammate is now married. One roommate has moved to California, with a very important detour to Iceland. We were 3rd place at Grandma's!
