Back In The Garden! Now that we live further north, spring is probably my favorite time of year because everything comes to life. Our apple tree was covered in blossoms not too long ago. It calls "castella", which is Japanese sponge cake made of sugar, flour, eggs, and starch syrup, very common at festivals and as a street food.
