Katahdin Sheep: Hastings Ploughing Match
http://katahdinsheep.blogspot.com/2008/08/hastings-ploughing-match.html
Wednesday, August 20, 2008. Today I am off to man a booth for the Ontario Katahdin sheep Association at the Hastings County Ploughing match. This is a big annual event, with nearly as many visitors as the International Ploughng Match. Actually, I like it better because it is more about farming and less commercial. It is great for kids as well, as there are lots of free activities, contests and give aways. We take some Katahdin sheep and lambs so come and see us at our booth! Sheep dog herding (Guiness Ad).

Their study is the largest of its kind, analyzing 25 years of lethal control data from U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services Inter-agency Annual Wolf Reports...Wielg...

Katahdin Sheep: Suddenly, everyone wants llamas
http://katahdinsheep.blogspot.com/2014/04/suddenly-everyone-wants-llamas.html
Saturday, April 5, 2014. Suddenly, everyone wants llamas. I am guessing that because we have had such a long hard winter here in Canada, as soon as the temperature is a few degrees above freezing and the sun comes out, people start to think spring. When they think spring, they also think of animals- lambs frisking in the fields, and the llamas that are needed to look after them and protect them from coyotes, wolves and stray dogs.
