First things first.a few notes about the blog in general for those of you who aren't particularly familiar with the format:. Nowon to the more interesting stuff. What are we doing? As you all know, Carter and I are finishing up our last months of medical school at Tulane in New Orleans. This trip to Swaziland will be a 4-week international rotation with the Baylor International Pediatric AIDS Initiative.

Now that we've got a menagerie of animals posted in pictures, I'm going to get back to a little medicine in my posting (after all, that is why we're here). A form of cancer that is seen most often (in this era of medicine) in HIV/AIDS patients though endemic forms do exist in Africa. (Both girls are improving on chemotherapy regimens currently.). I hope everyone had a lovely Easter and is having a smooth and easy week. Animals, part II.

I walked over to clinic 15 or 20 minutes early this morning, intending to check my email and make sure the slides for my afternoon journal club presentation were ready.I suppose the "intending" part of that phrase makes it somewhat obvious that didn't happen. No promises on getting those pictures up this week (it took hours for the last batch from my camera).but maybe we'll try to pick a few winners and get those up.
