Three Stories High: Three Stories High
http://joeveryday19.blogspot.com/2015/08/three-stories-high.html
I make something everyday. Wednesday, 12 August 2015. We live in a three story house, it keeps me fit and names my blog! Today I am giving you a peek into our other two three story houses. My Uncle made the first house for Big Sis when she was one and she has collected things for it ever since. Spending her birthday money on little plates and cups, pictures and flowers. Yesterday they decided to do a spring clean and take everything out and give it a dust; playing with a dry paintbrush and sweeping the c...

Three Stories High: Fashion Aran Cardigan
http://joeveryday19.blogspot.com/2015/07/minerva-24th-july-friday.html
I make something everyday. Friday, 24 July 2015. I have to level with you, I am not living in a parallel time zone where there are endless knitting minutes. I did actually finish this cardigan two weeks ago but my Minerva post is scheduled for today in case you wondered how I managed two knitting posts back to back! So it is July the peek of summer but us knitters know this is the time to finish off those winter WIP's in time to wear next season. This yarn is from Minerva Crafts. Are you a blocker? Im su...

Three Stories High: Psst! pass it on
http://joeveryday19.blogspot.com/2015/08/psst-pass-it-on.html
I make something everyday. Monday, 10 August 2015. I lured the children to the park at the weekend but secretly I knew there was an antique/junk/vintage. Shop next to it so I could squeeze in a little look around. I saw these little bits of old linen for 50p each. I had an instant idea as soon as I saw them. The green one looks like it has been cut out of a table cloth. I also bought a ceramic rolling pin that will make you swoon and a 'billi' can for making hot chocolate at the cabin. I can applique all...

Crochet, Knit, Sew, Garden. Tuesday, 25 March 2014. Snippets of this blanket have featured in a few posts while it was a WIP, but at last it's finished. This was supposed to be a Christmas (2013) blanket, but I think I was a little ambitious with the timing - but hey, I'm dead organised for Christmas 2014. I started with absolutely no plan, other than I wanted a red and white blanket, and thought the ripple pattern might be fun to do as I'd seen some rather beautiful ones on other blogs. Propagation is p...

Creative Academia: October 2014
http://creativeacademia.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Monday, 27 October 2014. Once again I’m joining in with the very lovely Gillian. Although it may be too warm for a hat. Although I’ve dredged the boots out of the wardrobe, I’ve actually been coatless today. Outside. In Leeds. At the end of October. The weather is unseasonably warm. We ate like Kings for the next 3 days as the ABO and I tucked into; Lancashire hotpot, Steak and Mushroom Pudding (thanks to an IG cry out Sue. This time it was a hotpot with beef and veggies in the pot. I’ve been brows...

Creative Academia: September 2014
http://creativeacademia.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Friday, 26 September 2014. More happies on a Friday. Thanks so much for all your lovely comments on my last post. I’m so pleased to be a part of the ‘precious things’ collaboration that Sarah. It’s been a busy week. I’ve been struggling to fight off a cold which seems to have burnt itself out without too much paracetamol or sniffing. So, BigR’s first full week at school was tiring for me as well as her! Even the combs have age restrictions on them! We love to see the kitchen garden and there was a vast f...

Creative Academia: June 2015
http://creativeacademia.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 30 June 2015. Ten things : June. Here we are at the end of the month. I'm counting down to our (hopeful) holiday, the end of the school year and the end of the medication for LittleR. Hopefully normal life and nursery can resume soon. I need to be more positive I think. The British Summer is here. I think it actually might be too hot. Well, we're experiencing 2 days of 28-30C in Leeds then, I expect it'll rain and normal service will be resumed. I'll look forward to that then! To make sure we ma...

Four Boys and a NL Girl: September 2014
http://fourboysandanlgirl.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Follow me on Pinterest. Tuesday, September 9, 2014. Have Knitting, Will Travel. It's all my friend M's fault. She and her husband B - affectionately known as the 'Child Whisperer' visited us in July and M brought her knitting. The Child Whisperer exists. We had him here. Too bad he lives. And, when I show you the yarn present she brought me all the way from Kingston, ON and KnitTraders. On the East Coast Trail. This was the view from my knitting rock. Not too shabby. I knit at Elk Lake, BC. And not just ...

Crochet, Knit, Sew, Garden. Tuesday, 29 July 2014. Cherries, bobbles and raspberry ripple. The variety is Regina, big and juicy and sweet and we must have picked between 20 and 25 pounds of them. Some will be frozen in pie-sized portions, some made into jam and we're going to try a cherry cordial this year and maybe some cherry vodka. These lovely jewel-like cherries helped me decide on a border for the raspberry ripple blanket I finished a while ago (well sort of). Hope all is well out there . At one po...

Creative Academia: November 2014
http://creativeacademia.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, 20 November 2014. Once upon a time I went through a period of illness. It was a very long time ago. Even now though, moments of that experience stay with me and very occasionally I think back to that time and how it partly moulded me into the person I am now. I chose most of mine for their colours and the way they felt in my hand rather than for their meaning. Every now and again I seek out my stones, for me they are a precious thing. You can see others’ precious things here:. I am trying to be...
