Friday, October 22, 2010. So I went a little crazy with the number of edits on this image shot by Angie Arthur. Of I Heart Faces. First of all, I love the composition of this shot, so I didn't touch it. My chief concern was the very cool overall tone, so I tweaked the warmth and lightened around the eyes a bit to get the basic edit. This is probably what I would use for my final product if I were a professional. Of course, I'm not, so I'm going to take creative liberties and continue to play with it!

Sunday, January 23, 2011. I Heart Faces Challenge Innocent Wonder. I am a little shy about my photography. When it comes to playing with other images, I have no qualms about going crazy with edits! But when it comes to my own "work", I have trouble deviating from mundane skin smoothing and exposure correction. This image was no exception, but between the big, eager eyes and the goofy little grin, I couldn't resist putting it in as an entry for this week's challenge. Friday, January 14, 2011.

Tuesday, February 15, 2011. In Need Of Some Vino. When you are waiting for someone you love to return to you, it feels like a lifetime. Your brain tricks you into thinking that two weeks will stretch on eternally. You start to look forward to the brief window of time you will have together. And when it's over, the reality hits: It's hardly any time at all. I spend too much time diverting his attention from potential hazards to entertain my emotions. And get home safe. We can't wait to see you!

Coming Up Roses - Ararat Garden. A country garden in south-west Victoria built from scratch, where vegies and fruit trees and roses grow. Saturday, December 14, 2013. I've never seen Gazanias grow like they do here in Ararat. Great swathes of them on footpaths. I suspect it's not intentional but rather they have established themselves as weeds. Usually they are the orange and yellow ones, but check out the colour of this one. Tis gorgeous - orangey pink - I've never seen another like it.
