The Wandering Cook: London in pictures, day 3
http://cookingmaniac.blogspot.com/2012/01/london-in-pictures-day-3.html
Tuesday, January 24, 2012. London in pictures, day 3. After a brief visit to the outside of St. Paul Cathedral (I would have had to shell out 14 pounds to get in. are they insane? In the aftenoon I visited another great museum, the British Museum. Again, it was free, and the art there is definitely more conventional, ranging from ancient Egypt's Rosetta Stone to more modern masterpieces from all over the world. Cooked by Chiara "Kika" Assi. January 25, 2012 at 10:34 AM. June 22, 2016 at 3:47 AM. I'm a co...
The Wandering Cook: February 2012
http://cookingmaniac.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 16, 2012. Saffron couscous with chicken and veggies. This is one of my "diet" recipes. One of the things that is helping me lose weight is packing my own lunch, so I don't end up eating huge sandwiches or pizza at some restaurant. Hence the tupperware in the photo. Sorry if it doesn't look great, but I swear it tasted really good! 1 chicken breast, cut into pieces. 1 cup frozen peas, thawed. 1 carrot, minced. 1 small onion, minced. Cooked by Chiara "Kika" Assi. The upside of it is that...
The Wandering Cook: July 2011
http://cookingmaniac.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 22, 2011. Zucchini blossom savory pie. Zucchini blossoms are easy to come by here in Switzerland and in Italy, both by themselves or still attached to baby zucchini. If you can't find them in your area you can make the pie with baby zucchini by themselves, it will still be good. Or you can make this other savory pie with spring vegetables. ZUCCHINI BLOSSOM SAVORY PIE. One pie crust, such as Pillsbury. 2 eggs, beaten and seasoned with salt and pepper. 1 pound ricotta cheese. Wash tomatoes, cu...
The Wandering Cook: Spaghetti with meatless meatsauce
http://cookingmaniac.blogspot.com/2012/02/spaghetti-with-meatless-meatsauce.html
Thursday, February 9, 2012. Spaghetti with meatless meatsauce. Brrr We have been hit by a tremendous cold front, which has brought tons of snow (or at least, tons by lake Lugano standards) and very cold temperatures, temepratures I had never seen around here. We are talking teens. We are talking "what the hell am I going to wear to work? I have pretty much locked myself in the house every single night. Going out for drinks or dinner? That's the way it is some days. SPAGHETTI WITH MEATLESS MEATSAUCE.
The Wandering Cook: London in pictures, day 2
http://cookingmaniac.blogspot.com/2012/01/london-in-pictures-day-2.html
Sunday, January 22, 2012. London in pictures, day 2. It was hard. It was very hard. I mean, how can you walk into Alice's and not buy an old wooden coffee table you absolutely have no room for or a trunk that will only set you back 300 dollars or so? I didn't actually buy any of the above, but had I been there by car I would have. So, good thing I was traveling by train, I guess. Cooked by Chiara "Kika" Assi. January 23, 2012 at 2:45 AM. Great blog, greetings from Poland ;). January 24, 2012 at 3:35 PM.

Who needs taste buds? I’ve got spicy soup | Making the most of your corporate microwave
https://corporatemicrowave.wordpress.com/2010/05/01/who-needs-taste-buds-ive-got-spicy-soup
Making the most of your corporate microwave. Who needs taste buds? I’ve got spicy soup. May 1, 2010 at 8:34 pm. My mother hates living in the South. To her, it’s the land of thorny weeds, ugly plants, and hot summers. Every year, she tries to battle against the heat by keeping the house at 65-70 degrees. (She mostly succeeds in upping our electric bill and forcing me into jackets during summer.). Sometimes it’s shocking to realize that we’re related. I love it here. And begging for bread, rice, or milk s...

Finding balance as a stay-at-home mom living abroad. Newer posts →. 2013 Week 45: NaNo’s first days. November 4, 2013. The writing project got off to a bumpy start, but nevertheless, the words are slowly adding up. First, I had my second of two dentist appointments to repair broken fillings. While I was still drooling out the left side of my numb face, we had to take Olivia to a new doctor to see if the reactions she’s been having to fruits is an allergy or some other anomaly. I have a little plan for wr...

Finding balance as a stay-at-home mom living abroad. 2013 Week 51: Bern’s Christmas market. 2014 Week 2: Shifting my gaze toward spirituality. January 6, 2014. I love the fresh perspective and motivation January brings. Sunset over the Gulf of Mexico. I started this blog two years ago to help me focus on outward goals: running more, eating better, exploring my new home country, writing, learning German, learning to be a mom. And I’m so happy with how these ambitions have unfolded into realities. It’...
