As I layed down last night to go to sleep I asked Daniel to read to me the entry for November 12th in Jesus Calling. Side note - I reached to get something out of the car yesterday as we were doing a last errand and a sharp pain came in my back! It has stayed with me as I have put ice on it and prayed for God to relieve me.

Tuesday, June 23, 2015. After Texas we purposely hit some fun sights on our journey to the west coast. Our first stop was Carlsbad, NM. We went over 700 feet underground and saw some amazing caverns. Our next stop was Albuquerque, NM. We took the sky tram up 7,000 feet into the Sandia Mountains and hiked around. Our biggest stop was the Grand Canyon. We spent two days here hiking all over the rim. Amazing place! Grand is not a big enough word to describe this natural beauty. Tomorrow we fly out to Hawaii!

Wednesday, March 11, 2015. My "babies" are growing up! And while I love that we no longer have to deal with diapers, bottles, and nap time, I find myself looking back at pictures of my sweet little darlins' and missing some of that baby season! Not all, but some! I really do love this job and I love these cuties! R showing off her medal at Math Quest. 2nd place in a tri-county competition! Still sweet and cuddly, but quite a bit bigger! Tuesday, April 28, 2015. Last Wednesday, Earth Day, was our sweet 'B's birthday! We now have two kids in double digits! Little did our birthday girl (or any of the girls) know that they would be getting a birthday surprise that day. Thursday, July 2, 2015. Beginning of Hawaii life. So we arrived in Hawaii on June 24th, almost a month ago. We were greeted in true Hawaiian style by several Chaplain families with lots of leis! What a sweet surprise and blessing! They took good care of us and got us settled in our temporary lodging with some dinner and food. So thankful for the kind welcome we received. We spent one week in the "Villas" (which is just a nice way of saying old condos) before we were offered a permanent house on base.

Sunday, September 7, 2014. A few random things our kids have said:. During our visit in Texas, our 4 kids were playing with their 3 year old cousin 'M'. They were pretending to be butterflies. They would wrap themselves up in blankets (for their cocoons), break free, and flap around the room as butterflies. At one point cousin 'M' came out of her cocoon and 'B' picked her up to help her fly. 'B' was making cool noises, "Shhhhhhhhhh" like a rocket, while 'M' flapped her wings. How do you argue with that?

Daniel, Cherish, and Cameron. Wednesday, August 19, 2015. Cameron is really showing preference and personality these days! He always has, but he is becoming a little more mischievous and even more independent as he grows! He says new things everyday- and shares his opinions more and more. We are working on matching and colors which is proving to be hard- but he can count to 6 and he knows a lot of his ABC's. My favorite thing about his ABC's is that he asks, "E-F song" hahaha! He doesn't call it abc.
