My Writing Life: What We Write
http://jenniferbeichner.blogspot.com/2011/10/what-we-write.html
Thoughts on writing and life. Monday, October 31, 2011. I have found as a writer and an avid reader there are several ways to tell a story, but when using classic principles to illustrate the trials and tribulations of our characters we learn to see our narrative in three acts. Once you past the first concrete pile-on or step through the first doorway you enter act two. Then comes the hero's quest, the middle of the story, the muddling around, where our character figures out who he is in the midst of...

My Writing Life: June 2010
http://jenniferbeichner.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Thoughts on writing and life. Monday, June 14, 2010. Just the Edge of the Map. Over the past several months I have been continuously editing and revising my civil war novel. Thoughts on writing and life. Saturday, June 11, 2011. Here's the catch, all of a sudden I was napping under that tree and not spending very much time "with butt in chair" actually working. If the answer is no.which up until recently has indeed been the case then I stop and admit that this speed bump in the road is where I have some work to do. Where I have faltered? I can fix it! Thank you Mr. Bell and welcome to my novel journey-I mean journal! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Writing Life Play List. View m...

My Writing Life: October 2009
http://jenniferbeichner.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Thoughts on writing and life. Wednesday, October 28, 2009. Maybe I love October because it was the last time I saw my father, his last birthday in 1983. Dad came home from the hospital for a few days and my brother and I thought, maybe just maybe, he was getting better, he would make it. October was full of hope. Hope that all things change, good or bad, like the color of the leaves and the weather. What still needs to be nurtured? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Writing Life Play List. Writer - JC Beichner.
