PRESS & PUBLICITY. PRESS & PUBLICITY. At Manchester Art Gallery, which toured to the Djanogly Art Gallery in Nottingham. Her works are held in private collections worldwide, with a complete set of her ‘Tokyo Story’ series in the permanent collection of the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. Although also available as prints, presenting the work as lightboxes maximises their theatricality, and creates a window into another world. Emily Allchurch CV.pdf.

Tuesday, 30 November 2010. NEW BOOK COVERS GALORE. I mentioned in the last post how the UK is currently buried under a mountain of snow. Last week, when everyone seemed to be grumbling about the prospect of getting the snow shovel out, I was literally praying for snow - lots of it. I had an idea for a series of shots for some horror book covers and - hooray! My wish was granted. Six inches of snow, a very understanding wife and buckets of fake blood later.those shots are coming soon. Out in August 2011.

Extending from the late 19th century to the inter-war years, there is some extraordinary work here. Raoul Ubac: Le Combat des Penthesilees (The Battle of the Amazons). Archive for the ‘Exhibitions’ Category. Laquo; Older Entries. Monthly Exhibition – February 2012. Wednesday, February 1st, 2012. This year I’m going to try and put a short slideshow, about one or two minutes long, on my blog once a month. The idea is it’ll be like a regularly changing exhibition. Each month there’ll be a different subject and I hope it’ll encourage me to go through my archive and fish out some pictures that have languished for too long in the dark caverns of my studio. An extra delight o...

The adventures of baby Emily. April 4, 2012. First time meeting the Easter Bunny! February 22, 2012. We had a really nice lunch date for Emily’s 3rd birthday which included pizza and a cupcake. The real treat was her favorite cupcake: white with sprinkles. Usually she gets a mini one but because it was a special day she got a super size one! You can tell how excited she was by the huge smile on her face. February 3, 2012. December 6, 2011. December 3, 2011. December 2, 2011.

July 3, 2013. 151km, 1641m of climbing. Google defines stunning as ‘extremely impressive or attractive’ and that is what our final day was filled with. The sights as we headed towards Banff from Invermere were simply stunning. Spectacular, in fact. I guess I learned from the last time that these are friends that I will keep for a life time. And no matter what, there will always be another ride, more funds to raise, and more awareness to spread. Leaving this break, however, was not what I wanted to do!
