Thoughts on Adoption and Life. Erik, Bet, Zain and Tesfa. Adoption is a powerful word around here. All four of us were adopted. Our futures were bleak. We needed a family. Then God showed up and called us sons and daughters. We became loved and free. As far as legal adoption, Zain became an Olson at 6 months old in 2010. Tesfa became an Olson at 2 years old in 2013. Thoughts on Adoption and Life. My One Thing →. Object Permanence: Web Permanence. April 24, 2014. Object Permanence is Jean Piaget’s idea. That children of about eight or nine months of age develop awareness/the idea that objects continue to exist even when one cannot see them. Before this stage, as far as the infant is concerned, items that are not within eyesight range do not exist. Web Permanence has kept me from writing. So I am putting myself out there for three reasons: 1. Eliminating isolation.
