Here Comes the Sun. Monday, September 28, 2009. AlooooHA is the way the island "cousins" welcome all the tourists to their paradise! They also call everyone "cousin" because they believe everyone in Hawaii is their "ohana" (family)! Even though there are a dwindling number of 100% Hawaiian blooded residents, their love of the islands and its beauty gives us mainlanders a peek into the past, and a hope that their culture will remain preserved for future generations. Jean and I had a simply marvelous time!
