Kansas FFA Vice President: March 2015
http://ksffavice.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Kansas FFA Vice President. Sunday, March 15, 2015. Stop and Smell the (Sage). What the results are showing is that your worst allergies are to hickory trees, cats, and sage. You said you were going to California next week? They have sage everywhere out there". Thank you, Doctor. I really. Appreciate you pointing that out. Long story short, I might as well be surrounded by hundreds of cats. This realization made me start to dread the trip and, once we got here, pretty miserable with anticipation of th...

Kansas FFA Vice President: July 2014
http://ksffavice.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Kansas FFA Vice President. Tuesday, July 29, 2014. After a weekend on the lake, Dad and I decided we should satisfy our need for excitement through a hike in the Ozarks. A quick Google search brought up a nearby trail and we set out with nothing but our favorite ball caps and two bottles of water. Now, neither of us have any real experience hiking, but how hard can it be? I mean, it's just walking around in nature, right? How often do we do have something similar happen in our lives?

Kansas FFA Secretary: The Race
http://ksffasecretary.blogspot.com/2014/07/the-race.html
Tuesday, July 22, 2014. 8220;The real purpose of running isn't to win the race, it’s to test the human heart”- Bill Bowerman. We ran for what seemed three-quarters of a mile. I could see the end of the road, meaning our destination was in sight. I took off! Finally, this is the second time Kansas FFA has heard or read of my running conquests (I promise my running stories are depleted). I would like to take the opportunity to introduce what my race of life consists of:. What we woke up to every morning.

Kansas FFA Secretary: September 2014
http://ksffasecretary.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 16, 2014. In high school I focused immensely on sports. After school I would devote two and a half hours of my day to that specific sport that season. However, I underwent a change when I graduated high school, because, despite my five year-old aspirations, I will not be a professional football/basketball/baseball player. Now it seems that every spare moment of my life (outside of FFA) is focused on my academic materials. In Seth Godin’s book The Dip. If not, do not feel reluctant abou...

Kansas FFA Secretary: May 2014
http://ksffasecretary.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Saturday, May 10, 2014. What do they mean for your future? I can think of a “last” happening very soon for myself. My final exams are next week, marking the last days of my freshman year of college. On the bright side, these final days count down to the time when I get to see some of the best dressed people in the State of Kansas wearing their blue corduroy as we kick off the 86. For your hard work? For putting in extra time to help out those around you? You might not be recognized for every single thing...

Kansas FFA Vice President: Perfection(less)
http://ksffavice.blogspot.com/2014/04/perfectionless.html
Kansas FFA Vice President. Thursday, April 17, 2014. However no matter how excited I was to make all of these recipes, not all of them turned out very well. The cookies you see in the top left spread out and looked more like I was making a whole sheet of cookies! My question to you is; How many times are we so afraid of failing that we don't even want to try the first time? Is there something we really want to do, but maybe we've tried and haven't had success before? Or maybe it's like when we're staring...

Kansas FFA Vice President. Thursday, March 13, 2014. Spring break is fast approaching and whether we are excited for no homework, a vacation or the potential spring weather, I have a challenge for you. Often times I find myself in days like today where my to-do lists seems like it is a mile long and I have deadlines looming over my head. Do any of you ever feel like you have the whole world to conquer in one night? I certainly know that feeling. Sometimes our brains may look a little like this. After com...

Kansas FFA Vice President: December 2013
http://ksffavice.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Kansas FFA Vice President. Thursday, December 12, 2013. The Season of Waiting. We spend four hours furiously wracking our brains to do our top notch work on our ACT to hopefully get us the scholarship money we want for our dream college. Then we wonder for weeks what we received until finally we receive that email. We spend months preparing for a CDE or even years for a proficiency area. Yet, we never know what the outcome is immediately. But the result at the end of waiting is called delayed gratificati...
