Navigating Capricorn: June 2009

http://navigatingcapricorn.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html

Thoughts sailing through my head and my voyage in this life. Tuesday, June 23, 2009. Home from Vacation and Death. So the family spent 5 days in Mrytle Beach, SC this past week and that was great. Loved watching the kiddos play in the water and make sandcastles. Owen really had a good time boogie boarding and so did Elizabeth. Bella had a lot of fun running into the shallowest part of the water and then running to hide behind my legs and hold on when bigger waves rolled ashore. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Navigating Capricorn: What is a Girl to do?

http://navigatingcapricorn.blogspot.com/2008/02/what-is-girl-to-do.html

Thoughts sailing through my head and my voyage in this life. Thursday, February 7, 2008. What is a Girl to do? John McCain loves to tout his “I was a foot soldier in the Reagan Revolution” anytime he has the opportunity to as if it were some magic pill cure all. Aims-not Americas. We Americans are to blame for being complicit in our silence and letting the Congress and Senate get away with things that go counter to the Constitution and a capitalist economy. Mr McCain my grandfathers survived and I am her...

Navigating Capricorn: Things that bounce around in my Head

http://navigatingcapricorn.blogspot.com/2008/02/things-that-bounce-around-in-my-head.html

Thoughts sailing through my head and my voyage in this life. Friday, February 8, 2008. Things that bounce around in my Head. Okay, a bit of backround for this next post to fully apprieciate the humor-then again I just might be a little "off". Home and one of only 3 places in the states where I feel complete to my core in an environmental harmony sort of way. My mom saw Andrew Llyod Webber's "Evita" with Patti LuPone (? Cats, Evita, Jesus Christ SuperStar,. Later Phantom of the Opera. Want to know what th...

Rabonics: Obamanation

http://rabonics.blogspot.com/2008/11/obamanation.html

The Language of Me. Wednesday, November 5, 2008. Tonight's sweeping Democrat party victory does have a few positives:. 1  It can no longer legitimately be accepted as an excuse by any minority that success can be hampered by the color of someone's skin.  That ship has finally sailed. 2  I saw Jesse Jackson crying in the audience tonight.  Couldn't tell if it was because he was happy for Obama, or if it just struck him that he's out of a job.  Haven't heard from Al Sharpton yet. Rabonics: It's a Bird! It's a Plane! It's uhh... Obama?

http://rabonics.blogspot.com/2008/07/your-friendly-neighborhood-superman.html

The Language of Me. Wednesday, July 30, 2008. It's uhh. Obama? We all know that Barry came out with a book called,. The Audacity of Hope. Given what we know of him now, it would have been more aptly titled,. The Gall of Hubris. Case in point - this article from today's Washington Post Blog site. Obama was waxing lyrical about last week's trip to Europe, when he concluded, according to the meeting attendee, "this is the moment, as Nancy [Pelosi] noted, that the world is waiting for.". Photo of the Week.

Rabonics: Obama and Academia

http://rabonics.blogspot.com/2008/07/obama-and-academia.html

The Language of Me. Wednesday, July 30, 2008. Been a while, huh? I'll spare you the excuses (which are many- some valid, some not). Here's an article in today's New York Times that took a peek into the academic life of Barack Obama. I was flabbergasted that it's not all praise and worship to the "Chosen One." For my post to make any sense, you've got to read the article first, so check it out here. A few things that stick out to me. The lines in red are from the article followed by my points:. As Preside...

http://rabonics.blogspot.com/2008/09/deviation-from-norm.html

The Language of Me. Tuesday, September 16, 2008. Deviation from the norm. 160;I have discovered Facebook.  I initially went to the site just to poke around and see what it was all about, having heard many of my blogger friends mention their "Facebook Pages" with an air of cyber-superiority.  What a wonderful resource it has turned out to be! Meclizine works pretty well for me. I'm on Facebook now too, just so I can keep up with my kids and what is going on in their lives, as they never tell me anything.

The Language of Me. Tuesday, October 28, 2008. Obama Should Put His Money Where His Mouth Is. Obama is has assumed the Robin Hood role in the 2008 election.  Here's a thread you may not be aware of.  How much money is the Obama/Biden ticket giving to charity out of their own back pockets? 160;Aren't we our brother's keeper? 160;I do have a bit of a disclaimer here- anyone refuting this could say that Obama and Biden COULD HAVE given more and just not claimed it on their tax returns.  May I just ...160;An...

The Language of Me. Monday, April 20, 2009. Heavy is the Head That Eats the Crayons. Haven't posted in a while. Just want to let my 3 readers know that I'm alive and reasonably well.  Don't you love the title of this post? 160;Ever since I heard Tracy Morgan utter those ridiculous words on 30 Rock last week, they've been stuck in my head.  I'm sure the writers of the show didn't know it, but that line pretty much sums up life over the past 6 weeks.  Kids! Navigating by the stars

Navigating by the stars. Finding my way through life, faith and Home Education. Tuesday, 22 April 2014. Looking back, looking forward. Change can come suddenly, unexpectedly, catastrophically. Change can creep slowly, erosion over time, unnoticed until comparison with the past forces focus. Today, it was the cheese. As I ate my lunch and my supermarket Stilton, I had a moment of regret, of noticing. Candles and shovels when we're snowed it. Dinner at The Farmer's Arms. Old hats and scarves for snowmen.

Just finding my way. July 5, 2012. I thought I missed blogging and I thought I’d be glad to get back into it but it’s been, what, a week? It’s a sign of how fragile life is right now. Last Tuesday a normal rush out of the house turned into an all-out fight, a broken day, and nearly a week of rebuilding. So easy to see the steps that got us there, so difficult to change them in the moment. Progress towards Maths and Biology iGCSE. Cycling including sponsored ride to Kingston. Trip to Italy and France.
