Haedong Yonggungsa Temple | The Great Escape
http://quitethelittleescapologist.com/2015/08/16/haedong-yonggungsa-temple
August 16, 2015. Built in 1376 during the Goryeo Dynasty by the monk Naong, this temple is one of three dedicated to the Goddess Buddha of Korea. Although most temples are found in the mountains, the Haedong Yonggungsa Temple is located by the sea in Busan. The temple, destroyed by fire during Japanese invasion in 1592, was rebuilt in the 1930s. The Great Goddess Buddha of Mercy reincarnated unlimited love and mercy. As Bodhisattva Avalokiteśvara. http://quitethelittleescapologist.com/2015/07/02/learning-korean
July 2, 2015. Next month I will move over 5,000 miles away from my current home here in Budapest. As it is in my nature to be as prepared as possible, I have started trying to teach myself Korean. Key word: trying. Prior to moving to Budapest, I bought an audio teaching tool Pimsleur’s Hungarian. I played the first CD relentlessly and even recorded a short clip of myself saying,. Elnézést, beszélsz angolul? Egy kicsit beszélek magyarul. Amerikai vagyok. Excuse me, do you speak English? Grade (back in 200...

Brown Girl Blue World. Black Abroad: travel teaching life. English Camp: A Reflection. August 3, 2015. September 24, 2015. As an EPIK teacher at a normal public school you will probably be expected to teach “English Camps”. I use quotation marks because the use of the word camp here is quite loosely interpreted. Third Graders are Awesome! Then I had a small list of more generic ideas. For example, nature camp. So guess which one my co-teacher chose? Day one arrived and I found myself slightly nervous, bu...

Quite the Pickle
Wednesday, August 3, 2011. Every year we go to the San Luis Valley in southern Colorado to celebrate the 24th of July: Pioneer Day! This year was especially fun because Evan loved the events. Especially the parade. Getting candy is, of course, the best part of any parade. Evan hoarded as much as he could. He also loved the horses and flags. Here's everyone at the parade. What we do have pictures of are the results of a very dusty 4-wheeler ride (yet none of the ride itself):. Evan loved being at Nana's!
