Sábado, 2 de mayo de 2009. Resident Evil 6: Mexico. Al profe y a nuestras admiradoras…. Debido a la emergencia sanitaria que vivimos en México, y para evitar posibles contagios de influenza en el país, las clases fueron suspendidas hasta el 6 de Mayo. Obedeciendo las recomendaciones de la Secretaria de Salud, algunos orcos volvieron a sus cuevas lejos de esta citadela, algunos otros se refugian en las minas, los demás están probablemente muertos. To use the space in a smarter way, and take some weight off of our robot, our team chose to use a structure made of acrylic and endless screws. We considered this to be a very good choice, because besides getting rid of unnecessary weight, the structure itself looked a lot nicer than the trash can we planned on using. The next code is the first step of the base program for the robot control, this runs in the microcontroller and it´s done in CodeWarrior for the DEMOQE128 card. On this first phase the program allows to record a trajectory, which is predefined by the user, so it can be reproduced later. Besides, the user can specified certain points to take photograps. Tuesday, March 10, 2009. Thanks to CHDK it is possible to use a program that detects a voltage difference in the usb port of the camera. In this way we can take pictures or perform actions commanded from the microcontroller. The diagram to use is really simple. A USB mini B port is needed to connect it to the camera, while the other side can be connected to a female port connected to the microcontroller or we can cut directly the cable and apply the voltage difference right there. Saturday, April 18, 2009. On this week we acquired the SD EYE-FI card for our camera. The tests have been successful. Thanks to this new technology and the efforts of our teammate Diego, we now can take pictures and upload them automatically to facebook.
