Stand Up Architecture: marzo 2009
http://pbcruzlopez-standup.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
The StandUp Architecture Elective introduces students to the principle of iterative design in the context of computation based on a short proposal of theirs for a research hypothesis and design intent. Martes, 3 de marzo de 2009. While trying to think of how the structure must be, several examples of deployable structures passed infront of my eyes. From simple deployments to snap-through structures, which use buckling as mechanical factor for configuration. Another aspect of the structure should be the t...

Standup Architecture 2009: 2009-02
http://deunlanigo.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
First trial to deform normal grid. These sketch image was one of the tests that I checked the possiblity of deformation. This chart which needs more works to make it clear will shows me the basic order for my topic. I want to have some hierarchy or order on my process. The hierarchy of total process. My research has a possibility to spend a lot of time, because of there are no limitation to make a new grid pattern. It'll be toxic to go to next step, so I make the hierarchy of the total porcess. For this ...

The StandUp Architecture Elective introduces students to the principle of iterative design in the context of computation based on a short proposal of theirs for a research hypothesis and design intent. Jueves, 5 de febrero de 2009. Interests in architectural field. 1 How could a solid structure open and close to let daylight go in without changing its form too much? 2 What kind of structure should be the most adequate to use in order to create a structure that is self supported? If you'll recall from the...

Stand Up Architecture: maart 2009
http://bartvandewater.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Dinsdag 17 maart 2009. In short the conclusions from these tests are:. Equal left/right division of tie rods improves the division of the stresses and therefore improves the performance. A wider curve than the standard spline gives more irregular results and it requires more material so its performance is not enough. Equal division on distance gives a more equal division of forces than an equal division on angle of tie rods. Bart van de Water. Dinsdag 3 maart 2009. I am more interested in the maximum str...

Stand Up Architecture: Winning the competition
http://bartvandewater.blogspot.com/2009/05/winning-competition.html
Woensdag 20 mei 2009. Finally the weight of the bridge was about 825gram and it carried about 54 kilogram, which was enough to win the competition. A funny fact is that the bridge didn't break on the spaghetti itself, the wooden strip actually broke. This wooden strip is given by the organization and holds the hook that carries the load. The last 200 euro we one with a second price for making a specific assignment within 3 hours. Bart van de Water. 2 juni 2009 18:08. Bart and Yannick,. I am glad to annou...

Stand Up Architecture: Todays presentation
http://bartvandewater.blogspot.com/2009/02/todays-presentation.html
Maandag 9 februari 2009. At the presentation I’ve got various comments. To make sure the construction is better in 3D it should be constructed with a specified element and a specified situation which makes it inevitable to use a normal 2D construction. The situation is going to be the spaghetti bridge contest situation. To specify the element I’m going to determine a spaghetti beam with specified dimensions. Out of this element the whole construction should be built. Bart van de Water. Indeed, the model ...

Standup Architecture 2009: Using 3 types of law-curve on the grid plate.
http://deunlanigo.blogspot.com/2009/03/using-3-types-of-law-curve-on-grid.html
Using 3 types of law-curve on the grid plate. I've study a method of applying law curve on the rectangular grid system. Now, they can manage a distance of point up and down in the computer screen. Three types of law curve are applied on the grid system and it shows that image. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Maria Stand Up Architecture: Constructional DNA.
