Stitching in the Barn. Jan 11, 2015. Potholders revisited: hexagon shaped. So after a couple of failed attempts at rotary cutting hexagons,. I decided to trace around my template onto freezer paper and add 1.25 inches to each side. Templates are a blessing for me. I pressed the top three in half, stacked them in the order I wanted and sewed around the seam allowance. And much bigger than the first hexagon "potholder" I made. Stitching in the Barn. Mar 31, 2011. Got some use from my Slice die cutter. We cut the letters and orange circles from the basic design card, which happened to match the font the school uses. My daughter drew the black lines on with a Sharpie then we added some double sided tape to the back and stuck them all on. Stitching in the Barn. Feb 13, 2015. The bowl above was hand carved by a coworker. I wouldn't have to make soap very often but I seem to keep giving it away. At under $8 for 1.5 lbs of soap, it's not that big of a deal. I'm saving a lot of money too. I used to pay $4 - $7 a bar before I started making it. Going natural has helped lessen my allergies, given me more mental clarity and made me feel better all around. It also gives me more drive to sew so I'm going to get back to it. Have a great day!

Stitching in the Barn. Feb 29, 2012. Heartbroken and a bit sad. I went onto my Facebook today and saw a BBC news breaking news article that Davy Jones of the Monkees passed away. I'm shocked and my heart aches. I'm not so old that I saw the shows when they were originally on.That was before I was even a possibility in my parent's thoughts! Right next to the older women! I'm not sure how long this has been kitted up, but as you can see it was a little too long. The thread I was using is discontinued. In other news, it is just too hot to do much around here. Stitching in the country. Tuesday, 21 July 2015. How on earth does it happen. On Jamuary 1st I started off the year working on a respectable five projects. I have finished several of those since them so how can it possibly be that I am now working on 14. Are they breeding behind my back? Is someone sneaking them into the pile?
