Tales of a Beginning Teacher. Mrs Coan's Teaching Journey…. Before Tour of the Classroom. This is what my classroom started out looking like at the beginning of the year. I really like this set up, but I’m in the process of adjusting the room to better meet the needs of my students. Being a teacher requires a lot of flexibility. I feel like I’m constantly tweaking things, but it’s always worth it if I’m improving the education of my students. New Year, New and Improved Teacher… I hope! Email check failed...

New Year, New and Improved Teacher… I hope! | Tales of a Beginning Teacher

Tales of a Beginning Teacher. Mrs Coan's Teaching Journey…. New Year, New and Improved Teacher… I hope! Since I will continue to be the team leader for third grade I have opted out of co-teaching this year. I think I had too much going on last year with it being my first year teaching. There were a few times that I felt like I was barely staying above water. I am hopeful that this year will be better since I will not have as much on my plate. What are some things that you do for classroom management?

Tales of a Beginning Teacher. Mrs Coan's Teaching Journey…. Posted in Elementary School. Literacy Education MAE Program. I look forward to the challenges and memories this year will bring, but for now I’m happy to focus on the little moments I get with my family. Bye-Bye, Long Hair! So… Last year, I had a homework system. What does this have to do with my hair you ask? Set a class goal to read (X). Minutes by the end of the school year. When the class goal is met, my students will all get to cut my hair!

Tales of a Bank Vole
Tales of a Bank Vole. Monday, 17 March 2014. Trevor the Honking Heron. Sometimes you see something, you're not quite sure what's happening, but you take a couple of snaps just in case it turns out to be interesting or unusual. That - more by luck than judgement - is what has occurred in this instance. I saw the Heron crossing the lake, it's head was down and bill open, so I assumed it was carrying something and took a couple of photos. Better out than in. The Heron is well know for it's catholic tastes w...

tales of a beginner
Tales of a beginner. Monday, August 23, 2010. I had an amazing conversation today with a woman who recently overcame drug addiction. As part of her rehab program she was offered access to fitness facilities and decided to take advantage of it. I've been on drugs since I was ten years old. I am 29 now, they took my baby girl away, I have nothing left to lose.". She committed herself completely to recovery. She says exercise has been a huge help. Saturday, August 21, 2010. To see what you are doing. Of cou...
