Wednesday, August 12, 2015. Potsdam - Part 4: Blue Skies! On our way back to the station I spotted this gate. The clouds broke and the sun came out! Immediately the humidity cleared up and the heat became bearable. I took advantage of the blue skies to take some more pictures of the buildings we saw earlier in the day. The Life and Travels of Sullivan McPig: Potsdam - Part 1

http://thetravelsofsullivanmcpig.blogspot.com/2015/07/potsdam-part-1.html

Wednesday, July 29, 2015. Potsdam - Part 1. On Friday, July 17, we went to Potsdam, a small city next to Berlin. It was a hot day, but there were also clouds, which made it a very humid day. We visited the St. Nicholas church. There was a cool skull statue. This is the ceiling of the church. Next we visited the Dutch neighborhood. This neighborhood was build for Dutch immigrants from what I understand. This looks kind of familiar. I spotted another church, but that didn't look Dutch. Potsdam - Part 1.

Sunday, January 25, 2015. High Tea, Books, and Other Awesome Things. And Freya paid me and my owner a visit for our birthday! They brought lots of books and goodies, but more about that later. We spent a couple of hours chatting, before we went to 't Feithhuis, a restaurant in the center of Groningen. T Feithhuis means the Feith House. Feith being the name of a family that used to own the building the restaurant is in.). We were going to be served a High Tea. I got Mango tea. You can't see it in this pic...

Saturday, August 30, 2014. I Meet a Friend, and Guts in My Mail. This Thursday I had a wonderful day. First I went to the book market that was organised as part of the celebrations for Bommen Berend, a local holiday. My Owner's OtherHalf had a stall at the market together with other illustrators. I took a look at their stall of course. They had cool buttons. After browsing a bit at the book market and the delicatessen market, I went to the Noorderzon festival, where I met up with:. The Life and Travels of Sullivan McPig: October 2014

http://thetravelsofsullivanmcpig.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html

Tuesday, October 28, 2014. Last Sunday we went for a walk to Garnwerd, and we had dinner at one of our favorite restaurants: Hammingh. I had this yummy dish that contained potatoes with eggs and cheese. And I also got patat with mayonaise. Friday, October 24, 2014. I know: I'm not doing anything besides posting about my mail at the moment, but I hope to have some fun pictures for you soon. I'm going to help my owner find a costume for Halloween this weekend. But on to my mail:. Wednesday, October 15, 2014.

The Life and Travels of Sullivan McPig: Potsdam - part 3: Sanssouci

http://thetravelsofsullivanmcpig.blogspot.com/2015/08/potsdam-part-3-sanssouci.html

Monday, August 10, 2015. Potsdam - part 3: Sanssouci. Park Sanssouci was a really cool park to visit. We enjoyed looking at the statues and the fountains. The heat of the day was getting to us, so we stopped for a refreshing drink. The view from the terrace. After our break we spotted this sign. It pointed the way to a dragon tower! We followed the sign, but the first building we encountered was an orangery. It had a fountain in the garden. Maybe the dragon tower would be at the end of this road. Potsdam...

Hammie Hamster: Rabarbertaart!

http://hammiehamster.blogspot.com/2015/08/rabarbertaart.html

Maandag 10 augustus 2015. We gingen rabarbertaart maken! We gingen crêpes eten met familieleden die op visite kwamen en wilden graag als toetje een taart eten. We were going to bake a rhubarb cake! We had family coming over to have crêpes with us and we wanted to have a cake for desert. We hadden twee recepten gevonden in een tijdschrift, en wilden wel eens kijken welke de lekkerste zou worden. Deze stond in het Magazine van de Volkskrant en was gemaakt door Yvette van Boven. 125 gram witte basterdsuiker.

Tuesday, 29 June 2010. A Card from Beanie. There was a card from Beanie. For me in the mail today. It had lovely art stamps on it. On the front of the card was this beautiful picture of a bird and flowers which is part of a handpainted wallpaper that hangs in a big palace in Beanie's home town. I think it's a wonderful card. Thanks Beanie! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). A Rare Bird, sharing his views on an interesting world. Showing pics of all the weird stuff he finds all over the place. A Card from Beanie.

A bear's life as told by said bear. Thursday, April 4, 2013. The tree man cometh. A couple of weeks, ago Scruffy and I took our seats on the appointed day. Watching and waiting for the tree men. The phone rang,. The tree man called. He said it was too cold for his men to come that day. A beautiful day, but a balmy 17 degrees, brrr! Our big old broken, sick tree. Received that last minute stay of execution. It was like a call from the governor. Cue the music: dunt, dunt daaaaaaaaaaa! Grr-bye for now,.

http://www.buttonsbecause.com/2013/04/d-day-tree-day.html

A bear's life as told by said bear. Thursday, April 18, 2013. D-day, Tree Day. The day arrived once again,. Buttons and Scruffy took their seats again. They're here" cried Scruffy, as the big red trucks parked in front of the house. Both Scruffy and Buttons were feeling conflicted about the tree. How could they be excited and sad at the same time? As the man walked up to the old tree his chainsaw roared to life. Va-roommmm, putt putt. He raised the saw, and began to cut the tree down. Grr-bye for now,.

Just another WordPress.com site. August 13, 2015. We woke up and had our chewy sesame bread! Then we went to the temple by the sea. haedong Yonggungsa. It was very pretty but quite crowded. Not my favorite temple we have been to — it was too crowded which ruins the tranquility. Then we had lunch at a mandoo place. We had this delicious kimchee dumpling that reminded me of a cabbage pierogi only spicy. The next morning we left for Seoul. When we arrived we went out to lunch for galbijim. August 11, 2015.
