The photo above was taken at 8am on 31st October and heralded a wonderfully warm and sunshiney Asturian day. This photograph however, taken just a few days later, shows how quickly it can change! Tomorrow we are setting off for England. The Girl Dog has been de-ticked and wormed (much to her disgust), the bags are packed, the house is clean and friends farewelled.

The winter showed up late! March 13, 2013. Roman Bridge in Cangas de Onís. The winter showed up late to Asturias. The last and heaviest snowfall in Asturias this winter has brought pleasing landscapes, besides traffic jams and road blockades. It is not this common to have snow at very low altitudes and even at sea level in some ports and beaches along the Principality. We were just waiting for the coming spring when we happen to find this lovely scenery that seems to last a few days. Thanks for coming by,.
