Marscat: surviving kidney failure
http://marscat.blogspot.com/2009/07/surviving-kidney-failure.html
Tuesday, July 07, 2009. I was seated in conference room 200 along with about sixty other employees, listening to the directors explain why they needed to lay off 27 people on Monday. Fortunately, I was not one of them. More workers showed up at the entrance to the room and were spilling out into the hallway. The CIO waved for them to come in and take the few still empty seats up front. I promise you won't be laid off if you sit in the front row," he laughed. What on earth does that mean, I asked myself?

Marscat: June 2008
http://marscat.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 25, 2008. While the presenter and the organizer and the guy from the front row. Fiddle with the projector,. A big woman in a small metal chair. Holds a slice of pizza. It hangs limp and sweaty. Like a tired dog's tongue. Lodged on her chest. Rides the wave of her contented. I am pretty certain. She'll be the first to bolt. Once the pizza's eaten. I am putting on my best show. Loading up my paper pad balanced on my knees. With chunks of wisdom, sage cutlets. It will not clap. There is only...

Marscat: November 2011
http://marscat.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 15, 2011. After dinner last Wednesday evening. I walked over to Sproul. So I was sitting there at the Occupy Cal demonstration, nodding. Hall She started mentioning the Sixties, but I didn't know if she was mentioning them from personal experience or just as a historical perspective, like how I might talk about the Russian Revolution although I've not personally. Were you here at Sproul. Protesting in the Sixties. And then because we were close to being the oldest, poorest dressers at t...

blahg!: February 2009
http://hollyrrr2002.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 23, 2009. A powerful word. I rarely get to use it though. It's just so rare when someone does something so lame that you think, "Wow, what a douchebag! Well, today was that day. Want to know what a douchebag looks like? I could, of course, post his picture. But that might be bad. Instead, I'll post what he did. But clearly the guy has some anger issues he needs to work out! Thursday, February 12, 2009. Today, we were IM'ing, and I said, "Gosh, I really want a red stapler! That's when I k...

blahg!: Weekend warriors
http://hollyrrr2002.blogspot.com/2012/09/weekend-warriors.html
Monday, September 10, 2012. I have a raging head cold. R A G I N G. But since it's still just above my shoulders, I figured that I should get out and ride both days over the weekend. Especially since the weather was so nice and who knows how long that'll last. Or just plain "hi" when passing. When did every other cyclist become "the enemy"? I found this was exclusive to men. ALL weekend. WTF? So I slow up a bit. Well, the guy is flailing along behind me, trying to catch and pass me. Seriously? There's a ...

Life Becomes Me: October 2007
http://lifebecomesme.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html
The fear of falling is nothing compared to the fear of never leaving the ground. 2 It’s raining today and I have been required to come to terms that the nature of my cycling commute has changed for the next several months. For some reason I was under the impression that I could ride to work from the train station in the drizzle and keep my backside dry. I was unfortunately mistaken and will have to reconsider my riding wear to keep my po-fessional git-ups dry. Or just buy a fender that fits my CX bike.

My Life in Print: January 2009
http://denise1ramirez.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Monday, January 26, 2009. Facebook vs. Blogging. Denise is eating Fruit Loops. Denise is thinking of changing her profile pic. Denise is riding on a sunny, Fresno day. Denise is relaxing after teaching spin class. Do you see a pattern? This is Facebook. Quick. Easy. One liners. No brains. No thought. Most of the thinking involved, is when replying to someones Facebook posting. Still, it can be accomplished in a nano-second. 2 creating an entry using proper English. Finally, the "Closing" of my blog entry...

My Life in Print: September 2008
http://denise1ramirez.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, September 10, 2008. Approved and funded by the Ramirez household. This photo evidences a disturbing trend that is beginning to affect wildlife in the U.S. Animals that were formerly self-sufficient are now showing signs of belonging to the Democratic Party- as they have apparently learned to simply sit and wait for the government to provide for their care and sustenance. Tuesday, September 9, 2008. Welcome to my world. Saturday, September 6, 2008. Blah of a month. And other shit I cannot even ...
