Memorials Old and New. June 22, 2009 at 9:15 pm · Filed under Writerly Adventures. This is a memorial of ‘dog tags’ dedicated to American men and women who have died in Afghanistan and Iraq. You can find this memorial in the Paul Revere Mall– which includes a statue of Revere in celebration of his Night Ride to warn of impending British attack. In July, I revisited Iceland, the country of my birth, and continued a long-term investigation of the relationship between the Icelandic environment and its medieval literary heritage, most famously the family sagas written in the thirteenth century. Explorations on foot in and around Cape Town. Stellenberg Open Garden Revisited. In Cape Town's Southern Suburbs. Previous visit to Stellenberg Open Garden here. Stellenberg Manor House is such a gracious old Cape Dutch building. And the garden. just gorgeous! We started in the white garden. And then through to the vegetable garden.
