Louise and Sarah's walk to Santiago di Compostela. Asymp; Leave a comment. Take a look at the breakfast menu and scroll down to the one biscuit you can have can I really wait til morning for that 1 Neapolitan cream? As breakfast is served at 7 and we have already been relieved of our payment for the room we are having an early start and leaving that biscuit for someone else to savour! Larr; Previous post. Louise and Sarah's walk to Santiago di Compostela. Spain… A few tips. Asymp; 2 Comments. The economy as we all know is rock bottom so just a few observations. You charge a euro for a soft drink and give away 3-4 euros of free food so basic economics says you lose! If a visitor orders in very clear Spanish the pork without the goats cheese but with the onions do not bring them beef steak and be surprised when they are not overjoyed! Try smiling it is a universal language that will open doors. You are comm...

Louise and Sarah's walk to Santiago di Compostela. Asymp; 6 Comments. Tired but happy to have completed the walk today in Santiago with just a few spots of rain! The most emotional bit was watching all of the pilgrims walking through the entrance to the square from the French way. Ella and I stood and cried as they started to realise what they had all achieved….brought back some happy memories. Larr; Previous post. Next post →. Thoughts on “We did it! June 29, 2014 at 4:19 pm. The Camino de Santiago. Follow the Yellow Shell. Adventures on the Camino de Santiago. Day 21 – El Acebo to Cacabelos. Asymp; 3 Comments. We hiked downhill dropping about 1,500 ft along dry mountain stream beds through hidden valleys and then alongside some small lovely gurgling streams. Burny stopped for a religious moment. The Camino de Santiago. Follow the Yellow Shell. Adventures on the Camino de Santiago. Day 24 – Triacastela to Barbadelo. Asymp; 1 Comment. Woke up after a good nights sleep. I actually slept quite well considering the 20 man room we were in. Here’s the first pic of an albergue room and the bunk beds we have to sleep on most nights. Spot the 2 boys already in bed! We found a little cafe run by an old woman and had a great coffee and walnut cake breakfast. VIDEO loaded later. (Wifi crap). We decided to ge...

walkthecamino | Louise and Sarah's walk to Santiago di Compostela

Louise and Sarah's walk to Santiago di Compostela. A final goodbye until next time! Asymp; 1 Comment. It must be lovely to have a photo with the Cathedral in all it’s glory but I am yet to manage it and fear I might be drawing my pension before this construction/renovation is complete. For those of you who have visited Barcelona you know how long these Spanish churches take to be restored to former glories or indeed just completed! Not walking this time but loving the blog. Explorations on foot in and around Cape Town. Stellenberg Open Garden Revisited. In Cape Town's Southern Suburbs. Previous visit to Stellenberg Open Garden here. Stellenberg Manor House is such a gracious old Cape Dutch building. And the garden. just gorgeous! We started in the white garden. And then through to the vegetable garden. For a much-needed cuppa in the tea garden. Once refreshed, it was back past the roses and green lawns. And down to the herb garden. Monday, December 17, 2012. See also: Part I.

Although I was in pain, my girlfriend and I were giggling about the hilarious amount of effort it took to get me out the door and into the car. Why did they look at me that way? The next closest thing to pity is sugar coating. Slumrun 201...
