Cheeseburgerboy: Five Guys, Soho
http://www.cheeseburgerboy.com/2015/03/five-guys-soho.html
Thursday, 5 March 2015. Five Guys, Soho. Twenty one stores open in the UK in 18 months. With another 5 opening soon. This is an invasion, a takeover the like of which the British burger scene has (probably) never seen before. Initially put off by @yesiamben. I thought it time i try it out to see what its all about. 930pm on a Monday in central London. Five Guys. Is packed, they are playing loud bad music, the lights are wincingly 'operating room' bright. It reminds me of University cafeterias. Ok top 13,...
Cheeseburgerboy: Meat Liquor. Dirty name, dirty burger
http://www.cheeseburgerboy.com/2011/12/meat-liquor-dirty-name-dirty-burger.html
Monday, 5 December 2011. Meat Liquor. Dirty name, dirty burger. Yianni Papoutsis's first proper restaurant was bound to be interesting, and the evolution from Meateasy to MeatLiquor didn't. Disappoint. Apart from maybe waiting 1h45mins from arrival to burger. After standing in a queue in the cold, we then had to wait inside before finally getting a table. The venue is more nightclub than restaurant, there's even a bouncer on the door. Muffled lo-fi rock music blares out creating an. The burgers were diff...
Cheeseburgerboy: Dirty Tommi's popup, High Street Ken
http://www.cheeseburgerboy.com/2014/10/dirty-tommis-popup-high-street-ken.html
Monday, 6 October 2014. Dirty Tommi's popup, High Street Ken. Last Sunday I headed over to High Street Kensington for some lunch at Dirty Tommi's, a Sunday popup combining Dirty Bones. And Tommi's Burger Joint. Now bearing in mind I've already claimed. Tommi's is one of Iceland's greatest exports and Dirty Bones seemed like a cracking venue, I figured it should be a pretty good combo. So I suppose location first (because you've already read our Tommi's review, *right*? We started buy sharing some Sticky ...
Cheeseburgerboy: Goodman, City
http://www.cheeseburgerboy.com/2011/09/goodman-city-london-amazing.html
Friday, 2 September 2011. Sitting in a heavyweight #3 spot on the youngandfoodishburgertop10. I'd been super excited for some time about visiting this place. The city venue is pretty much an upmarket steak and fine wine place, the clientele middle aged banker types, chatting over large slabs of pink steak. Without doubt a very memorable burger. I look forward to checking out the Mayfair venue, as the city branch was a little on the stuffy side for my liking. Goodman City, 11 Old Jewry, London EC2R EDU.
Cheeseburgerboy: Here Piggy-Piggy... Bar Boulud, Knightsbridge
http://www.cheeseburgerboy.com/2011/09/here-piggy-piggy-bar-boulud.html
Friday, 9 September 2011. Here Piggy-Piggy. Bar Boulud, Knightsbridge. To say i was very excited to try this burger, seeing as it had made the #1 spot on the youngandfoodish top10, was an understatement. I met my cousin there for lunch in May so we could see what all the fuss was about. Be going back. Top marks for this place. But consider ordering more than one. DBGB Piggie Burger £13.50 -. Add cheddar cheese £1. The Frenchie £13.50 - Grilled beef patty, confit pork belly, arugula tomato&onion ...Bar Bo...
Cheeseburgerboy: Honest Burgers 'Oktoberfest' Special
http://www.cheeseburgerboy.com/2014/10/honest-burgers-oktoberfest-special.html
Thursday, 16 October 2014. Honest Burgers 'Oktoberfest' Special. Yesterday I headed over to Honest for the inaugural night of their new special, the 'Oktoberfest'. It's no secret that. And I both love Honest. We've been fans from the first night we sat outside waiting on a bench in Brixton market right through to today, where they can claim. And the Soho branch is usually where I direct people who message and say "I'm in central London, where can I get a good burger? The patty was, as always, lovely....
Cheeseburgerboy: Shake Shack Special 'The Emilia Burger'
http://www.cheeseburgerboy.com/2014/11/shake-shack-special-emilia-burger.html
Friday, 14 November 2014. Shake Shack Special 'The Emilia Burger'. At lunchtime on Sunday I popped along to Shake Shack in Covent Garden to try a very special, limited run of 500, first come first served burger. The 'Emilia Burger' (named after the Emilia-Romagna area in Italy) was a collaboration between Shake Shack and Massimo Bottura. The owner and chef patron of Osteria Francescana. While Massimo sat signing copies of his new book ' Never Trust A Skinny Italian Chef. Bun, the skinny patty. We've.
Cheeseburgerboy: Patty & Bun, Soho
http://www.cheeseburgerboy.com/2013/01/patty-bun-soho.html
Monday, 21 January 2013. Patty and Bun, Soho. Started selling his tasty burgers at the Doodle Bar. In Battersea. I never made it over there but people. Raved about them. Next he moved to the Endurance. In Soho, an old fashioned boozer just off Berwick street. This is where I. First tried Joe's Ari Gold and Smokey Robinson burgers, in amongst a rowdy crowd of locals and a handful of excited diners sitting in the corner. A head nod to the friendly staff who gave the queue regular updates and well, hope.

Adventures of a Flibbertigibbet. Flibbertigibbet: a silly, flighty, excessively talkative person, especially a pert young woman with such qualities. Wednesday, May 13, 2009. Art Yarns and Other Things. I realized that I haven't posted on here in quite some time. This spring has been very busy with shows and custom orders plus a baby blanket I made as a shower gift for Kiwi. Looking Out the Fishbowl. Since I've been super happy with some of my (relatively) recent art yarns, I thought I'd post some pictures.

Adventures of a Foodie Wannabe. Little time, less money, and a burgeoning love for food. Thinking outside of the can: Broccoli-Leek Soup. May 15, 2011. This past winter, however, I brought home a couple of butternut squash from the farmers’ market. I’m a fan of butternut squash soup, so I was determined to figure out how to make it. Now that it’s springtime, though, winter squash and many root vegetables are no more at the market. Instead, leeks. For other leek novices, these vegetables have a delicate o...
