They are often called “angels wings” since they resemble that shape. But, at the end of the day, they are deliciously light and airy pieces of fried dough, covered with powdered sugar. I believe every culture has their own version, but to me, the chrusciki will always be the benchmark. Makes about 7 dozen cookies.

Bacon, Cheddar, Apple Frittata. 1 apple, peeled and sliced thinly. 189; cup grated cheddar cheese. 4 strips precooked bacon. Melt butter over medium-high heat in a 10-inch oven-proof skillet. Add apple slices and sauté approximately 12 minutes or until soft. Meanwhile, in a large bowl, whisk eggs, egg whites and water until frothy. Stir in cheese, salt, and pepper. 3 slices of bacon.

Monday, June 2, 2014. So over the last few months, Ive been a part of an awesome little work idea, a lunch club. Once a month, I cook for about 12 people. I love it. I love cooking for people. And it gives me a chance to cook for others. . This month, I decided to cook a meal that was very simple for everyone. I made my basil pesto. We used to make these apple pancakes when she was growing up. Sprinkled with powdered sugar they're obviously not something I make often thesedays now that I'm all about healthy eating! But we didn't know any better back then. All that mattered was that they were comforting and delicious! Dutch Apple Pancakes (makes 4 large).
