Just another WordPress.com site. Skip to primary content. Learning a Foreign Language with Food. October 19, 2011. Several years later, after numerous classes on French grammar, classic French literature and French culture, I found myself living in Paris and immersed in a new city with many exciting changes. Paris is an amazing place for tourists because there is so much to see and do. But, for a student on a budget, this expensive metropolis was a bit more challenging to navigate. Just another WordPress.com site. Skip to primary content. Powdered Sugar and Chrusciki. December 14, 2011. The traditional Polish Christmas cookie is the chrusciki. They are often called “angels wings” since they resemble that shape. But, at the end of the day, they are deliciously light and airy pieces of fried dough, covered with powdered sugar. I believe every culture has their own version, but to me, the chrusciki will always be the benchmark. Martha Stewart Living, February 2004. Add to Shopping List.

I’m not your mother, so I’m not going to tell you that I’m ashamed. Instead, I’m just going to remind you that you are both idiots. Selfish, arrogant morons. In fact, if it were up to me, I’d extend your four game suspensions to permanent expulsion from the NFL and then laugh at you for being so incredibly stupid. The third time’s the charm, right? Back in the days when I still had to beg permission to see a PG-13 rated movie, my parents would buy the newest edition of Mick Martin and Marsha Porter’s. Every fall. They bought for the starred reviews of thousands of movies, and, more consequentially for me, they used it as a parental tool by consulting the descriptions of why a movie earned its MPAA rating. The second was simply,.

In the Kitchen with KP…. Where everyone likes to be! This blog is now closed. Has now been officially moved from WordPress.com to a self-hosted WordPress site. I have a lot to learn going to self-hosted, so bear with me for the next few months at the new site HERE. I have specifically kept the theme the same to minimize the transfer headaches for the lovely and uber-talented, eDee, over at StuckAtHomeMom.com. So it really won’t look that much different for now. So without further adieu…. Feb 27, 2012.

Saturday, April 14, 2012. I love beans. I wanted to learn how to make my own refried beans, so I did some googling and tried a recipe. I'll never eat refried beans from a can again! You can make a large batch of these and freeze them for later. 1 onion, peeled and halved. 3 cups dry pinto beans, rinsed. 1/2 jalapeno, seeded and chopped (don't get too crazy about chopping this too small- these beans cook all day and the vegetables pretty much melt into them). 2 Tb garlic, minced. 1-2 tsp black pepper.
